I've got a small bathroom floor to tile tomorrow about 3 m2 , onto concrete floor with wet ufh ! Using 12mm black quartz stone , unsure about the resin content !
The Customer has supplied bal fracture matting , and two part adhesive also by bal ! Reading up on the problems with quartz curling up with heat , would their be any other preparation needed ! Cheers in advance

i would get something in writing from the supplier saying they are suitable to lay on under floor heating , i reckon you will have problems no matter what prep you do,

IMO 12mm thick quartz is not a suitable flooring product. It should be 15mm minimum.

From what I've read the problem seems to be heat (UFH or sunlight) that causes the problems with the tiles curling so maybe thicker are better.

Maybe acceptable if you're tiling onto a solid screed that's unheated. But in the above scenario I feel it's a recipe for disaster.

Just to throw my 2 pennies worth in, I'm yet to come across any supplier that'll guarantee any quartz over any type of heated floor!
