Quick question!!

Hi, I have just lifted the toilet in the bathroom room and removed the old laminate flooring underneath! And the smell of ammonia is shocking !! The ply is stained but doesn't look to be in bad shape, I.e not sagging and still sturdy etc! Was wondering if I should cut the affected area out! Or if I can just sand it down and tile over??

All feed back would be much appreciated!

If it's got mold on it, i'd probably sand, then bleach. What's under the Ply?

IMO waste contaminated wood like that should be removed... Simples

Cheers I've cut it out!! Do I need to seal the joins of the new plywood piece, with thinset or anything??

You could silicon the joint, it would make sense

The join should be an expansion gap really (siliconed)
