Quote for 2 small bathrooms

I've got to quote for tiling 2 bathroom floors with ceramic tiles.
First bathroom area is 1.5 sq.m
second bathroom is 1.75 sq.m
Take up carpet in both and fit ply or cement board
and tile over.
Also fit thresholds on both doorways.
Also fit 2 new toilets
Tile around or under washbasin depending on circumstances
Client wants fitter to supply tiles,toilets and materials
I am thinking of a figure of £500 to £600 plus materials does sound in the right area?
There is more responsibility here where the client wants me to supply everything.

Make sure you specify exactly what you are supplying. Are you adjusting the bath panel because they can be a pain

£500/600+materials for what is at most a a day and a 1/2's work seems a bit excessive but if you can get it why not!

Maybe I should drop that price a bit. But I was allowing time for buying toilets etc. I dont usually do all that stuff. I will be up against other quotes so I dont want to go to high.
Also I cant start other bathroom until I've finished the first one. Maybe 350/400 is more realistic?

i would say so! giving yourself 2 full days that works out more reasonable

2 days pay. I bought a toilet for £99 a couple of months back. The seat then cost me another £50 :yikes:

All depends on the customers budget. If you buy the cheapest toilet then it will probably take you twice as long to fit it. You can get a 'bog' standard one from B&Q for £50. Make sure it comes with all fittings or else you will be making lots of trips to the plumbers yard.

buy cheap get cheap. I always (try) to buy from the same supplier so if I have any probs, one phone call and it's sorted but you have to work within the customers budget. I always shiver when I walk into B&Q past the 'Toilets to go' stash. Aldi and Lidl the well known plumbers merchants sell them as well !

Personally, I would try to avoid choosing a suit for a customer, I insist on buying addy & grout but prefer them to choose everything else. Poss get a couple brochures/prices and let them choose, then if they decide they don't like it you're covered.

Which price - the first(500/600) or the second (350/400)?

You probably have two different calibres of tiler there, and two different areas.

You need to checkout what you need to earn on the job, and what it'll cost you to do yourself.
