I know it's not easy to give an exact price without seeing a job but try and be as acurate as you can. take everything into account you can think of.

It's a job I have just quoted but it got me thinking what other people would quote be it someone brand new to the trade or an expierenced tiler.

I am having the toilet and sinks taken out in both and a radiator fitted among some other little bits which is costing £80 so add that to your price.

There are 2 bathrooms, a family bathroom (Bathroom 1) and an ensuite (bathroom2)
both are floor jobs and they are having the same tiles, glass mosaics (the thin ones)

Bathroom 1.

I am removing a square of floorboard about half a m2 and replacing it, it's the chipboard stuff. Then they want me to put down the glass mosaic tiles. You decide on prep and adhesives etc you would use. The bottom of the door will need planing.

Bathroom 2 is just tiling no replacing of floor boards so again you decide on prep etc. The door will need planing again.

It could be really interesting to see the differing prices, so go on. just humor me!

JUST GIVE YOUR PRICE no other info like your prep etc. and try not to be influenced by other peoples prices.

brummie tiler

day rate is what i went on £160 per day allowing 2 days for the job ( well a day and a morning! )then i realized there would be no silly nibbling round the sanitry as it will all be removed, so on second thoughts i would go in at £270 including mats.

You want a quality job, you gotta pay 4 it

So you reckon a day and a bit!

To replace the floorboard, ply out (or put backer board down), prime and put down glass mosaics. Maybe i'm slow but I wouldn't get that all done in a day. I reckon two Full days and then mats on top. Plus the £80

How much will mats be? Mosaic fix adhesive, grout, plyboard, primer floor board, somewhere around £80 i would think. (Bal mosaicfix is about £29 trade price)

I was suprised at how much this job worked out at but there is no point at doing it for nothing.
