Radiator Removal

Having read a few threads in the past regarding removal & re-installing of radiators before tiling, I am considering drafting a step-by-step guide inc. pics, for other members.

Just want to see are there enough members needing this info, to warrant the effort ?

And make sure you screw the valve fully down.... some TRV's only go down to a frost setting in which case may not fully close the water off. I think you'd probably get a device that closes it fully from a plumbers merchant.
The one I recently took off I unscrewed the valve and put a thick rubber washer over the pin and screwed the valve back on again so as to make sure the pin was fully down before I took the radiator off.
Sorry if this complicates things... perhaps you could include an explaination as to how a trv works... It just screws down onto a pin in the fitting that controls or stops the flow of water. Great idea taz

ok lads been having computer problems and could not post on the forum anyway,
if you go on to youtube and type in radtubeclamp there is a 9 min video on how to remove a radiator using these rad clamps ideal for tilers i think
google rad clamps and you will find there is plenty about will make your job easier
