I have some lovely reclaimed terracotta tiles to lay in a porch (see pic). They are to go down on a flat concrete base and will come up to the level of the bricks. The gap between the base and the top of the bricks is about 20mm and the tiles are about 10mm thick but varies as they are hand made.

Any suggestions re fixing, grouting and sealing appreciated. Sand/cement or thickbed ahesive? Sand/cement or grout? Could I just lay them on sand and fill the gaps with kiln dried sand like pavers? Linseed oil or sealer?

cheers. Tim.
