Some help please. We have some pattern tiles dotted about the kitchen. We have enough spare plain tiles to be able to replace them, but how? That is how can I remove a single tile without damaging the tiles around it.

My guess is one needs to remove the grout, (grout remover or power tool?), and then break the tile and remove it. Done lots of tileing DIY but never attempted removal of tiles in this way, so some tips and advice would help a lot.

Many thanks.

p1150440_l.jpg this is what you need. can get from any of the DIY stores for about £5. rake out the grout, break (not smash) up the tile with hammer, careful as edges are very sharp, make good and replace with new tile and re-grout.
