I would imagine being plasterboard that when you start to break the tile to start taking them of you will go straight through the board unless you can find a tile that is on a stud ,if so smash that one first and then try gently with a bolster chisel or a hard scraper behind the others ,also try and take the grout out around the other tiles to prevent them snipping, good luck
