Remove tiles

Had my brother in law give my number to a nice lady what she wants is,she has a tiled wall above the bath with a picture of a cat on the tiles,and wants the cat removed a replaced with just plain tiles.my qustion is will it cause a lot on damage when I remove old tiles,like plasterboard falling a part

I would imagine being plasterboard that when you start to break the tile to start taking them of you will go straight through the board unless you can find a tile that is on a stud ,if so smash that one first and then try gently with a bolster chisel or a hard scraper behind the others ,also try and take the grout out around the other tiles to prevent them snipping, good luck

She only wants the feature taken out,it's about 10 tiles.and she has 10 tiles.no pressure.whats the best advice.surly it would be better if I tile over tile?

scrape grout out. probably tubbed addy was used so should come off easy.
if no just replace plasterboard.
wot u mean tile onto tile?

Why on earth would you want to remove such a delightful feature? Anyway, multitool to remove grout, gently break a central one out then work out from there.

I was just thinking when I take old tiles off and replace plasterboard I'll have stud to screw too.not just a hole behind it
