Removing grout from porcelain

Woman i'm currently working for has tiled her own wetroom with a sort of stepped face porcelain tile but she didn't wash the grout off after she finished and is now well stuck to the tile face. Shes tried grout residue remover but it didn't help much. Any other ideas?

I'd avoid wet areas with stepped tiles personally. I guess this is why they tell you to point these tiles, and avoid getting the grout on the face.

Try a bit of straight Cement Away on a small area, some of those residue removers are a bit gutless diluted.

That's them. She's put them up vertical so the steps are vertical (if that makes sense) I read an old thread that suggested white vinegar and water and the feedback was good so I have suggested that to her, if it doesn't work I will tell her the other suggestions made on this thread.

These are a nightmare to tile with & grout.
I only had a very small amount of grout on them & it took days to remove.

She's going to have her work cut out..

Best way to do tiles like this is to fill empty silicon tubes with grout and squeeze into joint

Oh, and don't pt them anywhere near a wet area !!!!!!!!

Had to do those in a shower area, pain in the butt to clean up after grouting....

Convince them about all the water/bodyoils/grease/dirt/bacteria getting in all the crevices (That's a dirty word) and how difficult they will be to clean. Also not very pretty, the shower screen channel running along all the undulations of the tiles.
