Removing Porcelain floor tiles

Hello there, can anyone help me, with a problem i have. My whole bottom floor of my house is tiled with pocelain tiles,laid straight onto wooden floor boards. Does anybody know of a machine to remove these tiles,as I think it will be a very long job if I have to do it all by hand. The tiles are 450x450. Thanks in advance for your help...

SDS & a tile blade, there aint no easy way of doing this, its a bit of hard graft.

Try screwfix for sds corded drills, eg look up this product code : 97533

For £70, compared with what you may have to spend on hiring and you get to keep it!
It also means you don't have to do it all at once.

You may get something cheaper elsewhere, it's just to give you an idea of what to look for seeing as you do not need a professional machine.

If they are a full bodied porcelain then they will pop up quick enough, it is the adhesive that will be a pain..

if the tiles are well fixed no cracks no loose tiles why not tile over them save your self all that hard work and mess

I thought about skimming over them ,but i want to put under floor heating mats so i dont know if it is possible.

The best job is to remove them, i am not a fan of over tiling..

if using underfloor heating you must remove old tiles as the heat between the two layers will cause the top layer to come up

the tiles are laid onto wooden floarbords i dont think advising to over tile is a good option

best to remove and prep the boards for tiling from scratch

An SDS drill with a chisel action, here's a link to a good one, dont be fooled by the price, I have this exact same one and its done me proud. http://www.*************/p/titan-ttb278sds-5kg-sds-plus-drill-240v/97533 you will also need a flat chisel or tile chisel.
Tiles should come up pretty easy but adhesive may be more of a problem! I also recommend using safety glasses.
