removing thick slate tiles

hello,

how do i remove very thick slate tiles? it seems like concrete has been used to put them in - and they look impossible to remove? they don't flake when hit with a hammer or anything! i liked slate - until somebody came and put them in and did an absolutely horrible job - actually didn't even finish the job and we stupidly paid them and everything - they look so terrible we just want them out now... please help! is it possible to do ourselves to save money? or will it require getting someone in to do them? many thanks ella

:welcome: Is it on a concrete floor? you could hire a small breaker a bit bigger then a normal electric drill with a 2" chissel end to get under the edge of the tile, this should move them then. you could drill a series of holes and knock a section out of one of them on a grout joint to enable you to get the breaker under it.

Sound like you may need a small breaker but protect any areas that might get damaged from any chips flying about
