Hi,

I have a red and black Victorian/Edwardian quarry tile path which I am planning to relay. I have purchased some reclaimed tiles to replace those that are broken but they require cleaning as they are covered in sand/cement on the back and remnants of tile paint on some of the fronts.

Can you advise which product and technique is best to clean these tiles with and to restore them, as much as possible, to their original condition.

Could you also please give advice on how best to protect these tiles from the elements.

Your help will be much appreciated.
