just a ploy by adhesive companies to get you to buy more glue i bet they use shedloads !!!
but when you use a normal trowel dave you always use that at an angle so a 10mm actually spreads a depth of 5mm

More like 8mm I believe.
Having used these trowels I am still undecided. I dont actually like spreading adhesive with one or cleaning it afterwards but I do like the fitting the tiles onto the adhesive spread on the floor when using one.
how does that workthe (main) idea is that it is meant to push adhesive harder onto the tile or floor - increasing grab to substrate. apparently is meant to be less sore on your wrist.will take a bit of getting used to
