Rubi DU-200-L-BL or vitrex?

hay guys i'm going to buy my first bridge cutter and i was wondering if i could get any advice, i like the Rubi DU-200-L-BL and can get it for about £285 but i can also get the Vitrex Power 800 Bridge Tile Saw 800W for £190 or the Vitrex 103450 Versatile Power Pro 900 for £190, i know rubi are really good but it looks like these ones could take bigger tiles, and advice would be great.

Hi.
I use the Vitrex 900. It's a good saw, no problems with it so far. I did 28 bathrooms with it last year and the blade is still almost as good as new. The only downside was me leaving it outside in the pouring rain at Balquhidder over a weekend. It doesn't like that. I had to dry the switches.
Never used the Rubi so can't comment on it.
The only bad point is when using it to cut mitres. The blade tends to chip travertine. Maybe another blade would not do this.
Added: There is no chipping whatsoever when the blade is vertical.

Hi there I have a power Pro and I am very impressed with it. The only downside is the plastic casing on the power supply gets snagged on the tile bench, but tape soon sorts this out. No issues with mine, buy a decentblade and you'll be laughing. HTH

They are both good brands but spares for rubi are really easy to get. I guess it depends if you want to spend an extra £100.00 at a time when money is a bit low on the ground???

i was wondering if the other to would be two heavy? the rubi looks load lighter and easy to carry around.

The vitrex is abot 46Kg. I lift mine one handed, so it's not too bad.

It's more of a ground floor machine, though I have used it in a bathroom.

I have the rubi DU200L, great machine, can't fault it. Great for spare paarts too

i went with the rubi du-200-l-bl in the end, im happy with it, it's easy to clean and not to heavy, water goes everywhere tho.

had rubi dw 250 l for 5 years, perfect cutter. brilliant for mitred corners etc. good choice mate

Worst cutter I have used...ok for 2 jobs and then mine fell apart/rusted.mats came off and could not cut a straight line at all.

mine can sometimes cutt very slightly off square, ioften thought about welding a wider backplate on to make it better and fixing a laser to it! anyone ever done this??

Got the Vitrex 900. Can't comment on mitre cutting etc as mine just stays in the workshop and I just use it for vertical cuts. I use it to cut 10mm - 30mm thick marble tiles into 4mm thick strips and run it for 3 - 4 hours at a time and it doesn't miss a beat, (also have 4 buckets underneath and a mop on stand by :smilewinkgrin
