hi

i have a rubi ts 70 plus and need to know if i can cut marble tiles with it!!!

many thanks

in hindsight, I suppose it dpends on the size of tile!, I was cutting marble mosaics on my tx700 today, just pressing down on the score wheel and not using the breaker mechanism....

I agree, it depends on size. Because marble is a soft rock, scoring doesn't have the same affect as it does with glazed tiles. Anything bigger than mosaics and I think the marble would just crack

Although some tilers may have their own techniques cutting stone on a tile cutter with a scoring wheel is NOT a recomended proceedure.

Because of its very nature natural stone has no consistant structure, scoring the surface has no bearing on how the stone will split........in fact nothing does.

When cutting any stone a mechanical water fed diamond wheel should be used unless you have access to an external area where softer stones such as travertine stone may be cut with a dry wheel grinder.

Lets not go there I think is best it will just cost money...............
