Rubi tx-900 suitable for small ceramics?????

Hello all,

I seem to be doing more and more tilling now, so it's time i splash out on a proper cutter. I do lots of porcelain 60x60 floor tiles so i think the cutter for me is the Rubi TX-900. I know this is obviously a large cutter, but is it going to be ok to use it to cut smaller ceramic tiles say 10x10s? I know it will be a little cumbersome, but i don't really want to but two cutters........

It is over kill, for the small tiles get a Only £36

Hi and welcome....Maybe a bit of overkill for such a small tile, the 900 is a heavy old beast to be lumbering around, I would go for somethink smaller personally.

You say that you seem to be doing more and more tiling, so what cutter have you been using? Surely you could use that cutter for the small formats and the TX900 for the larger stuff?

You'd really struggle to fit the tx in most bathrooms/kitchens, I wouldn't consider it to be an everyday cutter, more of a specialist tool.

Aaargh, I see your problem.

I would suggest that you invest in a small cutter as well as the TX-900. It will only add a few quid to your tool bill so worth it, IMO.
