I have a TXn but wish I'd gone for the standard TX, the n has a longer measuring bar witch can be a pain when in confined areas..

Tx, I never use the measuring bar and they do get in the way, especially on the 1200

it's an old debate on here. i've used rubi's but after having a sigma i wouldn't go back

diatech scotland. i have the 3b version (cuts 600's) and the smaller sigma 7. i think the larger one was about 260 quid recently

Remember some of the sigmas can be a pull cutter, some are push type, if you use a rubi the push type would suit you better..

the rubi's are easier to use but once you get used to the sigma's they're better i.m.o.

Deffo TX version , another sigma thread hijack.

One thing to be aware of with sigmas and montolits is they can crush ceramics.

Sigma users deny it but I have a montolit and it stays in the shed.

Use what you feel comfortable with, you will never go wrong with a TX.

As can any other machine from time to time. As a tiler with only Sigmas I can assure you ( whether you believe or not ) I dont crush ceramics ! not even the really thin ones !


BUT this thread is about a Rubi TX or TX-N choice, so let it get back on track

i have a rubi ts 40 a smallish sigma and a 63 cm monolit
if i was using small ceramic tiles ts 40 is the man
smallish porcerlain sigma
large format monolit 63
we work now with such a lot of different sizes and materials one cutter aint enuff
worked with sir ramic today and watched him crush some cheap bumpy white (not)
