How big of an area is the floor?

Black marbles usually need to be taken up pretty high in the diamonds (1500 to 3000) to get the polishing powders to pop the shine. How low in the diamonds depends on how deep the scratches are. You will need a 175 rpm machine and proper diamonds to do the job right. Another thing that comes into play is if there is any lippage between tiles on the floor. If you try to polish without removing bad lippage you could get picture framing and that would be bad.

Basicly leave a job like this to a pro restoration guy. Leave the crystalizers at home if you(or your customer) want to be happy in the long run and have the stone look natural and not like plastic.
