Scribing ( how to )

Hello all,

It's been a while since I was on here and i'm happy to be back.

I have a small job coming up which is simply tiling a bathroom floor which also goes into a small hallway, a total of 4 square meters, there are also 4 doors within this small area all with detailed architraves. Now I learned to tile through a coarse but it did not uncover all the secrets and mysteries of the tiling world to my dissapointment, I was taught to cut through or use paper templates on door architrave when tiling the floor but I would like to know the best way to scribe the tile and cut to suit if the other ways were not possible.

Undercut the architraves and slide the tile under.. much neater.

A jamb saw... laminate layers use them..
