self level

How long would it take to lay down about 3 sqm of self level compound on wooden T&G boarding?

What product is best to use?

Can it be mixed by hand?

I always use one containing latex if going on a wooden floor. Cempolay is the name of the stuff I use.

It will take no more than ten mins to pour and spread but I would certainly use a paddle mixer and drill to avoid lumps.

if your planning on tiling said floor then i would overply floorboards rather than self level imo.

Whatever the reason for self levelling T&G floorboards the leveller should either be a flexible on or be mixed with a latex additive, it shouldn't take more than half hour max and you cannot really mix it by hand, it's important to get a smooth consistency or you'll end up putting more lumps down than your covering over.

Is there a particular reason for levelling...is overlaying with ply out of the question?
