Here for advice on this one. People who think I am a pro because of a little argument in which I responded to JT then take it with a pinch of salt and don't use it going forward on every post to have a go at me. It's old news now :) I am here for advice mainly as I have been out the tiling game for a good 2-3 years so I am rusty.

1. Always self level a floor? (concrete) unless it perfect already. Never is though for me....
2. How much to charge for self levelling a floor?

How much depth can you allow to pull a floor from being unlevel with the trowel is the question? Only so far you can with adhesive right?

Cheers

Hi mate
that last topic was epic bet you didn't exspect that.
any how when I've got a floor that needs levelling I would only go to a max height of around 10mm
over the whole floor.
Then I would just use my level and a bit more adhesive to get it spot on.
a good product I use is called level it you can buy it in Topps it's in a green bag.
good luck and nice talking to you

Haha, Which topic? Yeh, finding it hard on here lol. Ok mate, so 10MM higher than what it is already? Soppose you can't go much more because of steps into other rooms right?

Ok mate thanks for the help

If I was pouring a self leveller then I'd work it using my pin rake to get some flatness on it, you get amtico fitters who can trowel slc with amazing results but no good for us tilers as our tiles won't bend. You should check out phill hob sons method of using slc, quite simply, your left with a 100% perfect floor to tile to. I will try to find a link
