setting out

Hi all

I'm starting a job tomo in a three style pattern, 25m2.
The tiles are 49x49, 32x49, and 32x32. The tiles have a wavy edge so i was gona do the grout by eye, just checking its in line with the laser. I know the pattern but was wondering about setting out.
How do you guys go about setting out to avoid bad cuts?

Any help would be great

trial and error,or sometimes make a cardboard template of say a 1m2 and lay it eout from ther

The way I do it is to measure the width and the length of the pattern module, then divide the room measurement by the pattern length each way and make sure what's left over is a decent cut, then centre the pattern module accordingly and work outwards. Hope that helps. Never failed me so far

Me being mad on staffs, I make a ( you guessed it ) staff. Different colour pen for different size tile. This way I can determine how all my cuts will fall, before I mix the adhesive
