Good afternoon all,
I was hoping someone could help. I have had a leak from our shower cubicle for some time and through the process of elimination I have been able to determine that water is leaking through the grouting and plasterboard to the adjacent room and also the ceiling directly underneath the cubicle.
I have tried re-grouting but the problem came back after only a few weeks as there appears to be a lot of movement in the room with many of the walls showing little cracks. I would therefore like to start from scratch to make sure this problem is eliminated.
I have had a few quotes but I have not been able to find a reliable trademan in London. Through reading this website I am convinced that tanking on 12.5mm plasterboard would be the best option but none of the trademen I have seen so far seem to know what tanking is.
Could anyone help or provide a recommendation for a reliable tiler who could do the job? Any advice is most welcome.
