Time's Ran Out
I'am on a Travertine Bathroom at the moment which is tiled to 1200mm all around the room and fully tiled in the shower recess.
The top half of the walls have been plastered so you can imagine how much fast set flexible adhesive I am using to keep a vertical level on the bottom half!
Well I'am all the way round the room to the shower entry and I'am built out with the tile to 25mm on one side of the recess wall (its okay for weight as I've had the inside of the shower area lined with 12mm Hardie backer boards screwed direct to the stud work).
As its only an 800mm wide by 1100mm deep tray - I ask the plumber what the tolerance is on the door entry!
'It'll be fine' he retorts - 'we'll make it fit'!
Not leaving it to chance - I ask the customer to check the box and packaging for size - They've only sent an 1100mm door for an 800mm entry!!!!!!!!!!
The only way he can make that fit is by taking it back and getting a 760mm door!
TILER SAVES THE DAY AGAIN!
PS - forgot to mention its a 400x600mm VICTORIAN Travertine!
