sigma cutter

hi all, I am market for a new tile cutter ,after 30 yrs of using a rubi cutter of which I ve been happy with but, although it does struggle now and again , so I was fancying a sigma nothing to big something around 70cm cut but noticed that sigma do a few different models and wondering which would be best ,thanks neil

i would go for the 3c2m max, it the push score model , might be better suited for you imo .

As Rob says above, go for the push handle, I used Rubi for years but would never go back now.
The Sigmas are far superior cutters..

As as you I used rubi for yrs but i like the sigma pull version , but I'm yet to try the max version.

I can't get on with a pull cut Dave, tried one & didn't really like them, the max suits me to a t.
Superb cutters.

like anything from a trowel to adhesive choice , use what works for you.

But it is good when choosing tools to buy ones that will last yrs and IMO Sigma do that .

ordered the Sigma 3C2M MAX SERIES Tile Cutter - 74cm Cut Length should get it in the next couple of day ,I 'll tell what I think when I've had a little play

I bought that model at Xmas and I love it. I bought the carry case too. Excellent machine. I'm now looking for a smaller version for kitchens etc.

well my sigma's come, cracking service it came next day, so I've had 2 days to have a play and first impressions are very good it feels a solid cutter , bit different to the rubi but straight forward to use ,the job ive been on is an on going job and the tiles are not the easiest to cut but the sigma did perform very well slightly better than the rubi ,the only negatives I have so far is the plastic insert on the handle does have a little bit of play and I did have to give the sliding setter a bit of a tweak as it wouldn't travel over the bed ,
