Silicon and grouting

Hi I've just tiled a shower area and my boss has told me to grout the tiles sitting on the tray.Should I just not put a Silicon joint there instead?Also should I run a Silicon joint in the corners from ceiling to floor also.Cheers

All internal joints should be classed as movement joins & dealt with respectively ie Silicon...
