Silicon removing

does anyone recommend which of the many products available actually does the business; I've used several, and even after scraping off most with stanley blade, haven't yet found one i'm happy with to remove the residue.

Hi Pete

I've always used Silicon Eater. The pre-requisite is to get as much of the bulk off as possible as it won't eat through chunks of Silicon. But in the main the Silicon eater for me has always worked very well. You have to give it sufficient time to do it's work though.

I use WD40, i anticipate it would be cheaper.

Tape off any nearby grout lines etc beforehand to prevent any staining.

THANKS GUYS, I had to get on with the job today b4 reading any of yr suggestions, used HG product, little 100 ml tub, seemed to work reasonably with residue, have generally found HG stuff sound. cheers anyway!
