hi guys just wondering how much you get paid on sites per meter [labour only] these days

£13>£15 is about right round here

£12-14 usually. The gap is tightening, wasn't long ago people were claiming to get £20 a meter on site work.

4 years ago or maybe longer I got £15 m2, like everything the money has dropped.

Are you still getting £20-25 domestics or has that dropped a lot too?

I can still get that for domestics but the surrounding areas quite influential areas where prices get better.

Last time I worked on sites it was 92p/ yard and it was decimal currency!

Last i got asked it was £12.
I did some tiling on a new gym, they do them all over the country, £15m2 walls £20m2 floors, big areas, but theres a 5% retention , pay your own digs ect ect so it went down to a lot less when you got your money.
Ive just lost a site (plastering) bloke came in and priced it at nearly a grand cheaper than me , he must be nicking the materials.

That's happening more and more i think, in various forms. But ultimately i reckon nicked materials, cash, no tax, dodgy tradesmen etc. Don't know how or when it might stop but it will i'm sure. These people can't keep operating like they do indefinitely.
