Just had a look at a shower the customer said "water coming through the ceiling can you come and redo the loose tiles" have now told him plasterboard is rotten and will have to be all ripped out and reboarded with Aqua panel and retiled,he said job was only done six months ago.

so either tanking or aqua board would of solved this issue mate? but how could so much moisture get behind the tiles in such a short space of time were they correctly fixed? cheers

The tiles are fixed ok, there is cracks in the grouting which is the cause of water ingress which in turn has made the plasterboard rot, yes aqua panel and tanking will solve the problem it should have been done in the first place now the chap has got to pay again to have it retiled.

That's camera angle I think ,stand up and look down on photo,doesnt look that far out

Yer it is a bad job the dado tiles they used are upside down and the whole floor is creaking so dont think it will be long before that will be lifting,the chap has paid for a very poor job he thought it was going to be a quick fix.
