Dear Forum,
I am trying to work out what is the best way forward with repairing a not-very-well done patio. The patio is made of slate (roof) tiles - 30x40cm - on concrete. the problem is that the tiles keep coming up as they are not really heavy enough to make a good patio surface. I have started replacing a few tiles but have to dig out the concrete underneath. In doing so I disturb the adjacent tiles and so the job escalates. In an ideal world I should probably start from scratch with something better than slate roof tiles but life is too short as the patio is quite a large area. I was wondering whether there was some kind of adhesive/mastic that I could use to just 're-stick' the tiles as they come up. Any suggestions please? Steve
