Slate sealer

Hi I'm considering getting brushed slate tiles and am looking for advice on sealing and cleaning them. I was considering Lithofin slate sealer/slate oil but worried that it is not the right product as the surface is mostly smooth. Any advice appreciated. Thank you.

Lithofin Stainstop MN for a natural look or Lithofin Slate Seal MN if you want a shine.

I would use a water based sealer ..
