sloped wall

hi

just looking for a little bit of advice on tiling a shower enclosure

i have never tiled before, but i am following a manual and have prepared the wall and planned the spacing etc... but the two walls slope away from each other slightly which would leave either a v shaped gap on the angle or a slight overlap on each ascending tile.

can anyone advise the best way around this

Not sure if I'm reading this right, do you mean a gap appearing in the corner where the 2 walls meet? This would only happen if you were running a full tile up the wall which is the wrong way to do it. You should centre the wall giving the largest cut possible up each side, if the wall slopes away the cuts get slightly bigger. You can centre the wall in 2 ways either have the edge or the centre of your tile in the middle of the wall, whichever works best

hi saville,centre your walls allowing decent cuts to the corners which will help deal with any irregularities in the wall
however if a wall is off check how much it runs off by you may need to either sort the wall 1st by either dot and dab or by plastering it to level it or with the right cement based addy you could pack out dependant on depth
