Slurry mix ratio

I've done a slurry coat over bitumen before but forget the ratio, I used rapidset flexible mixed with water as usual but then added SBR. Can anyone remind me of the mix and would it be the same using Keraquick?

I use a 1-1 cement and sbr, sometimes throw a bit of sharp sand as well, never used a flexible mix though.

is a slurry coat a watery mix?,just trying to understand its purpose

The purpose is for the mix to be worked into the surface your going to work on, so a wetish mix.

Hope this isn't too much of a stupid question but.....is the purpose of the slurry coat to provide a decent key for the adhesive??!

I didnt know what it was iether dude...thou it looks to me after what Whitebeam said that it strengthens the dodgy surface.Adhesive partially absorbs into a substrate and bonds by forming crystals.I recon a wetter mix absorbs in further bonding it all together making it solid..

Thanks replies, I need to do slurry coat and hopefully slc today.
For clarification is it right to make up rapidset then add same amount of sbr by volume? Would that then be good to slc over same day?
