Anybody watching the world championships from Sheffield? One of those games I would love to be good at but in reality, I'm really not!!! Do like to watch though.

i used to watch wwhen the likes of jimmy white and the hurricane were playing, find it quite boring now

One of the quarter finals is Ronnie O'Sullivan v John Higgins, it's a good 'un. The Hurricane was brilliant but I don't think there is or ever will be anyone better, or more naturally gifted, than Ronnie, it's a shame his attitude lets him down at times.

Used to watch quite a lot when i was younger. One of my best friends at the time was Euan Henderson, who got into the last 32 at the crucible in 96. He used to give me a 100 of a start and still beat me in a single frame....

Hubby loves watching it, I can appreciate the skill but the commentary and the hushed tone just drives me mad... more pc time for me... :lol:

i used to love it years ago in the days of higgins (alex) and jimmy white etc. i hated watching cliff thorburn and terry griffiths, they were so boring :mad2:

I used to play Pro snooker about 20 years ago now the same year Ronnie and John Higgins joined. I do enjoy watching it though but I can understand how boring it might be to some people!!

I don't watch it like i used to, loved it and know the works.
Jimmy White i loved watching, Dennis Taylor was from near me here.
I played on a pool team a long time ago, love it still but don't play enough.
I was on the phone to my customer 15 mins ago and he told me he's selling a 6' slate bed pool table !! top spec one and this guy is minted !! lol.
My wife would kill me.
