About to tile kitchen floor and will be using 600x600 porcelain tiles along with an underfloor heating system. There will be insulation boards with the heating kit on top and then the tiles.
Not using an auto levelling compound as concrete base /floor is level already.
But
Would like to know what adhesive is recommended and what grout.
Tiles may come with a wax sealant? for transportation, what is a good remover of the wax.
Do I need to seal tiles before grouting them or before laying them.
There is the chance of black bitumen being present, which was used on the original 1979 vintage floor tiles. Any problems likely to be encountered.
Bit of a dumb piece now. How do you decide where to start. Should I start with dry laying a whole tile in the middle of the door way and continue upto the back wall.
If there is anything that I have not asked, then please advise.
Thanks
