:thumbsup:Hi all,
Last week i squeezed in a splashback, honed and filled brick mosaics on sheets.
4m2 in all.
I had 3m2 done when my helper said the colour had changed in box and the edges were different, lovely i thought.Turns out i 3 different sets, chiselled edge, round edge and square edged(even dark ones).
Told the customer,i left and told her to source the last 1m2 from shop next day as she couldn't that day.
Anyway shop says its my fault and they can't get more of the 3m2 ones whick i have stuck on with nice bagged gear!!!
I had to go back, rip 3m2 off, plaster walls with rapid set and retile 4m2 with new ones(round edged!!),they want shop to pay me,they say im too expensive and that they could have got a man to rip all off, plaster walls and tile 4m2 for £56 ! yes £56. I phone shop and told them i wasn't robbing them at all and that i want that other tilers number!! lol. if he is good he can come work for me,lol. not hard to pay,the shop were full of s****. I got paid by customer anyway.

well done Joe,some people just dont admit that they are wrong and the shop should have given you the correct tiles. Also a lesson learned for you...check tiles before fitting.:thumbsup:Its a good practice to get into.

Your right ther Brian, over 40 sheets the first ones were sound, lol.
I got what i wanted anyway.

you expect colour/shade variations, but not edge variations surely:thumbsdown:

Exactly Doug, chiselled, rounded and square!!! in the finish i charged for every yd i put on plus materials and the plastering.
The colour on 4 sheets were a mile away from what i had on,but the edge diffs were also totally unacceptable.
