ok have read as much as i can. I know i shouldnt have but i have. We have trave unfilled and unhoned for the floor and a wet room area.

This is what im planning?

thin set nicobond tile adhesive (white) butter tiles and floor leaving 4-5mm joints.

grout using a mortar type grout not sure which one yet

then seal paying special attention to the wet room. Planning on leaving the unfilled look but will see how it goes when i start if a pain then i will fill them all. Have about 7sq m to do.

Any problems or anything ive missed? and sorry again im not a tiler but a keen enthusiast! Is there a sealer that is best i only really have a topps tiles near me and was looking at this?

What substrate are you laying them onto?

have laid elektra insulation boards on top of concrete floor (years old) with thin bed of tile addy. UFH then more addy then tile

i would go for 3mm joints at most,seal before and after with LTP colour intensifier for natural stone and use mapei jasmine ultracolur grout

I think your going to have a hygeine problem with soap etc gathering in the voids and water evaperating leaving scum

I always advise to fully grout unfilled travertine.. As above it will be a haven for dirt and germs.

Do you have wet room tray your tiling upto

sorry forgot to add that i will be completely filling in the wet area. Assume i just brush the grout all over the tiles? Other areas include entrance, utility room and toilet.

No tray just a linear drain at one end.

wet room tiling should not be chanced by an inexperienced person in my humble opinion, you will save a lot of time and money by getting a professional in who has done plenty of wet rooms the cost may be more than you budgeted but costly mistakes caused by inexperience can cause major problems in wet rooms

When you say linear drain.. is it like a Purus type.. with removable cover etc for servicing..?

As you mention above yes grout the full face of the tiles..

yes its the purus type exactly.

fall being created from the wall. Other side of tray will have small lip to act as a tray

and you did incorporate a fall to the drain as well..

Grout..? Mapei Ultra colour i use..

as above yes and that grout ive used before someone has suggested jasmine which i have used would white be ok also?
