spiked roller on slc.....

how much pressure is used when using the roller to remove air from the slc? is it a soft roll on the surface or do you go straight down? cheers

To be honest Ash I've got one and never used it for slc but used them for resin floors to take out the air bubbles...

my mom wants me to tile her kitchen floor soon and I know its not level one side dips towards the corner so will be a good time to have a go at slc.

I wouldn't bother with the roller, especially if you have a deep section, as it just drags the SLC out, in my experience anyway.. I am probably the worlds worst, when it comes to SLC though lol!

As beanz says, the spikey rollers are only any good if the SLC is under 5mm any deeper than that and it just drags big channels into it.

I normally get a plasterer in for my ceilings Cam, but I'd be interested to know how you get the SLC not to drip :sofahide:

I was given two bags of sealocrete to try as it apparently flowed like water. I was very impressed by it however the rapid setting feature I could not comment on as the house I am working in has no heating until yesterday when I paraded as a heating engineer and filled the system and bled it for serious time!

Give mapei renovation screed a try you will like it

I'm not keen on selocrete,

If I have a choice I would always use Mapei renovation screed,
It flows really well & your never far off the mark with just one coat..

Used ultra level it 1 more than once. Today used 2 part as well. Both nice stuff to use, and does wot it says on the tin. (Or bag.
