Gigantuim marble for levelling polished porcelain??? Maybe ive lost my marbles but going to give this method of levelling polished porcelain floor tiles a try!!

I must admit, i rarely try to level floors, as they can be out by a long way! I generally just try to avoid lippage, and keep the floor as flat as possible...

Was in Harrods today with daughter and she wanted marbles, there was all different sizes and that's where i got the idea!
beanz, i know what you mean but on occasions i do try to get perfect 'level' if customer wants it.

I aim to get the floor flat with no lipping, I'm not overly concerned with it being level unless it obviously miles out.

no point in getting level,unless of coarse they are already level,but i aint seen many that are.

i tiled a floor in a 200 year old cottage earlier this year,ran out over 6" in 5m,try and get that level i ask you ,you would have to duck under the door:smilewinkgrin:

Not many floors are bubble level... flat and lippage free is good enough for me.

I have noticed over the years that a lot of custard's don't understand the difference between level and flat!...take this into consideration when a custard asks for there floor to be level as the last tiler left it all bumpy lol!!

Keeping a floor level could mean being 2" above a threshold or cooker space so all you can do is keep flat providing its not a million miles out.
