Split faced stone tiles

The wife is out buying some of these now, for the chimney around the wood burner , i was thinking of fixing them , any tip's from you guys on these ? i have never used them

Time consuming but, gives a nicer overall effect than split face, I hate all the lipping on those, that's what made me do t this way.

No lads they seem to be stuck together with some sort of resin !! the samples she has brought back are from Mandarin stone Cardiff ........

Those are the similar to the ones I fitted in a pub refurb last year.
They are nice once finished but you will need to come up with something at the external corners.
They don't join up on the mitre.
We fitted wood at externals & cut the tiles tight to them.

Well the tiles inside the fireplace will go flat to the wall then the front of the fireplace i'am going to make a stud-frame and then overshoot the external tiles with a L E D, lights up the outside but hidden behind the frame, if that makes any sense Stef......
