This week I have been renovating a bathroom for a couple who got a bad tiling job done on their bathroom by some cowboy. After 4 years the lady of the house can't look at it any longer so its a complete stripout and redo.
I felt sorry for them and was determined that everything would be spot on this time.(as always:smilewinkgrin:)
They had bought square edged chrome tiletrim for around the windows(no probs, simple mitre) and around the boxed in bath,
As a three way mitre was out of the question and a two way mitre would have left a sharp corner, (the corner is close to the door as can be seen in the final pic), after much:thinking2: ,I decided to try this:

Notched out from behind and bent round

Well pleased with the results

What do you think?

Thanks,
Dave, The clients asked for the border in the floor after the walls were completed.
Had I known about this before I would have set out the room slightly differently. The other corners worked out ok so didn't want to use one mitred tile in the whole room

this is how the left side of bath looked before
Flimsy boxing in, unable to fit bathpanel for 4 years!, Chrome trim, borders and tiles covered in grout (PCI Aquafug) Image229.jpg

Looks good...but the closure in front of the bath panel...??? around the border...mmm maybe a mitre might have worked better...do you have a matching closure the other side and right hand side as well?..

Not bieng picky,,just asking...for set out purposes..

Dave I'm probably barking up the wrong tree but are you referring to the left hand side grout line not meeting and needing a masons miter? like the red line i've added? v
