Hi Guys

Got a little job to do. Customers has a bathroom on two levels i.e. there is a step. The tiles on the vertical part of the step (riser I think) have come away. Im replacing them. Tiles had been adhered to the wooden frame which creates the elevation. What Id like to know is what kinda adhesive I should use with wood. What a may do is add a piece of wood to the timber frame as there is a big gap between where the tile should be positioned and the timber frame. Any ideas suggestion welcomly appreciated:ninja: .

Don't use timber, try backerboard instead. Aleviates any wood/adhesive issues then.

Screw the backer board onto the timber frame then use adhesive as norm. What if any are the issues regarding wood and adhesive? Any names for backerboard?

Just the type youd use for timber frame - run of the mill wood. Can I ask why?

soft wood is a no no plywood ok but there are always answers for most situations

make sure surface is solid firstly then,prime the wood and use a flexi ady and grout and you should be ok.
