Star-tek (Gulf Stone) Grouting

Hi all, first post and was hoping someone can offer some advice.

Using black Star-tek tiles 300x300 (black quartz composite with shiny silver bits)on timber floor with 2 or 3mm spacing. Fixed using Mapei Keraquick with Latex plus.

What is recommendation and best looking for grout.

1. Ultracolour Plus black with Fugolatic
2. Kerapoxy Design black, possibly with glitter.

I was concerned as a few people have mentioned the tiles hazing with epoxy.

:welcome: when you say timber floor what do you mean as in the make up of the substrate .epoxy grout is fine if you follow the directions

not sure if epoxy is recommended for timber floors

I have timber joist, tongue and groove floorboards, covered with ply. I am thinking the ultracolour plus with fugolastic is most accomodating, however if the epoxy is far superior in looks it may change my mind.

What thickness ply and does the floor have any deflection

I have used 9mm ply, however I removed the floor and fitted dwangs at 600mm spacing prior to re fitting the floor. The floor s relatively stiff for a timber floor and flat.

Sorry but 9mm ply is to thin, it should be min 15mm. Have you looked at tile backer boards?

Also def want to give the tiles a min of 3mm joint. This the min for Kerapoxy (not sure of the Kerapoxy design off the top of my head) and British standard on all floors.
