Steam Room Which Silicon?

Sorry Mr Admin if creating a new tread is not the done thing,

Further to my Which Grout question could you guys tell me what is the Rolls Royce of silicones to use for the finishing off of my steam room?

I need one that is white and one that is clear.

The white would go between the tile and shower tray and all tile joins (I think).

The clear is for the shower screen install.

forget the Silicon in the shower and put in epoxy grout.
Use a clear glazing Silicon for the door.

You need to use a sanitary grade Silicon and that one is more for heat source sealing .

Mapei do sealants in loads of colours and can be bought or ordered from your local CTD branch...

You will need to Silicon any area's where there might be movment, like internal corners and around baths/shower trays etc...

If the shower is heavily used then you might want to tank ( waterproof) it first...

Epoxy grout is good but not easy to work with if a diy'er....again mapei grout is good...Mapei ultra colour plus with water drop effect is great for showers..it is mould & water repellent...
