Stone and metal tile mix

I'm looking to install natural slate tiles (30cm x 30cm) over a timber floor (stiffened with ply overlay) so expect a flexible cement based adhesive and grout is appropriate. However, I am also looking to install small (5cm x 5cm) metal (pewter) tile inserts at the corners of the tiles. Would I use the same adhesive, a different one for both or a separate one for the metal tiles? What would that adhesive be?

Go with Tilemaster Ultimate, will bond both.
