Hi Guys, This is my first post, I have been looking at the forum for a while and must says it’s great, I like how you all try and help and a very good source of information.
I am due to tile a 10m2 bathroom, most of the initial prep is done, and tomorrow I plan to fix Hardie 500 (12mm) to the T&G with Keraflex, leaving 5 mm expansion around each and screw down at 300 centres. (I have already cut and dry fitted the Hardie so don’t want to change it if possible) Tape the joints, prime & lay heated floor (Vame) then test, record readings etc. This will then be covered with 4 mm of fiberplan.
Hopefully on Monday after it is dry will lay Ditra with Kerde on the walls in wet area’s, the shower tray is Pro4ma which gives 10mm above floor before tiles and adde which will be Keraquick with latex plus, Floor tiles are 600X600 porcelain 8mm and the pebbles that I have yet to see are 8 To 10mm (they are the flat type, was originally told 14 to 16 mm deep.)
My worry is getting the levels correct for the rest of the bathroom and the mosaic pebble in the shower tray, looks like I am 6mm adrift (the idea of changing to pebbles happened late in the day, Have had to forget my original plan and as I never used mosaic pebbles before I could do with some help) thought I would put an expansion strip across the door and then also across the pebble to tile joint. Finally the whole job will be finished using Ultracolor Plus beige.
Sorry to post on Friday night but any help suggestions would be appreciated.
