Stonefix adhesive and grout

Got a brochure through the post today from a company called Stonefix with price list of adhesive and grouts...anybody used them? Prices are..Stonefix white rapid flexible £11.50 for 20kg Grout eight colours flexible wall and floor £6.99 per 10kg bag plus vat.

Did wonder when this would start its a bog standard C2FT adhesive re-badged for Speshalist Tiling Produkts up in the north.

The bag is very pretty and it looks the part but as I said its just another C2FT, probably comming from Benfer or Denmark

Thats pallet rate isnt it ??

Oh I know who they are they pester the **** out of me to take it on but I buy cheaper than that at bag rate so havnt bothered m8

STP are in to lots but mostly generic or imported stuff that they try to build a name for.

There are 4 or 5 companies in the uk for tilers related stuff and if you look hard enough you can find the product connections

No not a bad thing its just everyone has a miracle in a bag when the fact is all the miracles have to comply to standards.

Quality of ingredients may differ but a C2FT is a C2FT no matter what miracles it claims to perform.

I have no connection with stonefix and have no axe to grind but it is C2FT cleverly pushed into an already mad marketplace.

Have you tried pro fix is it any good?

Profix is made by BAL..so it should be ok....

I’m not really used to anything yet as I am new to the tiling industry but my instructor told me that there were 101 different adhesive manufactories and to see for my self by using them but he proffered BAL, Mapi, and Weber so if pro fix is BAL then it should be ok.
