Hi all,
I have had to replace what is call 'paramount' wall board (the stuff that is a plasterboard sandwich with cardboard shell in the middle). The reason being that one side had gone rotten due to water seepage.
I went down the route of pulling one side down and putting timber stud work in the middle and then fixing a new sheet of water-resistant 12.5mm plasterboard back on top.
The wall in question is next to a door and there is a little bit of vibration when i close it, so if anyone knows if this will be OK once I tile with flexible adhesive (i.e. the vibration wont make the tiles fall off), I'd be grateful.
Cheers,
Nige
