Hi

I've recently tanked/ tiled my wetroom floor. A friend who is in the building trade gave me some tiles which have an anti slip finish and he said they would be ideal for the floor.
I'm now not sure as to whether these are the correct type/ waterproof.
I think they come under this specification http://www.ceramicasumare.com.br/english/conhecend...
I've used the correct mapie adhesive/ grout.
When the tiles are wet there is a slight grey marking in places almost in streaks. Would I be able to use a tile/ grout sealant to overcome any possible issues?

you could test a suitable, grout /.tile impregnator, i would test an unlaid tile first- apply let cure and water test; even if there is slight porosity to the tile face this can take this up and also give water and oil protection to the cementisiouse grout. these are not tanking products but repellents. on application go over everything , but ensure to remove all excess from the face of the tile and let cure.

Great test !! Generally just seal tile and sprinkle water on it!! Lol

Cleaning products ,shampoos etc, can begin to break the product down slowly, for maximum protection ,you could top up when required. Poss 1-2 years or earlier .
When you want to top up, ensure the tiles are clean , re- saturate, and then remove excess, fully buff dry. There is no issue when you top this product up , as long as you remove excess and then let cure before bringing back to service, all should be fine,
Best way to look after the product, use a impregnated tile specific cleaner, this will give longevity to the product , also remove surface water from the floor after use, squeegee walls and dry area, sounds ott but will again give longevity to product and also stop water marking to tiles or grout.
