Dear experts
I have someone fitting my small wet room
in my flat. I have a reasonable understanding of building though. having had a 6 month building absolute nightmare to get to to this point, I felt I was finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel as the wet room was tanked with first coat yesterday.
But I think I have noticed a big problem. The fitter has not only tanked on a screed that I dont think has been left long enough in an unheated flat to be tanked over (6 days...about 2.5cm thick at worst), but he has tanked directly on the screed and skimmed plastered plasterboard, not priming first with the primer that came with the kit.
My concern is that it wont have a key with the pci lastogum and would be made worse over time as plaster naturally dries over time.
To add to this, whilst i was advised that I could have any tile I like..the tiles now at flat are 60x30 porcelain tiles at 25.5kg per m2 incl adhesive and grout (3.7kg each tile). I understand weight limit is 20kg/m2 on skimmed plasterboard. This would be made worse surely if there is weakness between the tanking and plaster because of the lack of priming.
Im sure britsh standards have some wiggle room but I am worried, even if I went for lighter tiles.
I know its sunday but if anyone can give me some help I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Holly

Perhaps it is levelling compound. sorry! its the concrete looking stuff that has been laid on the floor which has the falls build in toward the tray. I meant 2.5cm at its thinkest point at the door.

He is a 'bathroom fitter'. he is doing the tiling but I dont know his exact skill set. I thought he knew what he was doing as he did a wet room before and she provided a great reference.
